ABOUT ME:

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. My name is Darrin Ehardt [pronounced e-heart] and I am Ehardt Creative.

I was born on a potato farm and raised on a dude ranch in Colorado, so hard work and tenacity are in my genes. I've called the Lower East Side of NYC my home for many years now, but I believe that growing up in such a rural environment has given me a very unique, well-rounded view of the world.

I've held many full-time jobs as a creative, but I'm currently a freelancer, primarily working in a creative director/art director capacity. Regardless of the title placed on my role in any project, my focus is getting the job done right, no matter what it takes. I'm just as comfortable helping a photo crew pack equipment into a photo shoot as I am leading a creative brainstorming session.

I believe that precise communication is key in making any project successful. Over the years I've honed my abilities to "really listen" to clients, and my extensive and diverse experience has made me keenly aware of how important proper research and preparation targeted toward each individual project is.

Budgetary and schedule criteria are never an afterthought for me. I am well aware, especially in the current economic climate, that it is often necessary to do more with less and I pride myself on being able to do just that.

I am comfortable working on-site or off-site, and I love to travel, depending upon a client's needs. I'm primarily a one man shop but I have ready access to amazing photographers, writers, programmers, etc. and, if needed, I can gather a crew to accomplish most any creative task. I'm always open to taking on a full-time position if the right opportunity presents itself.
